RAW Women’s Championship

The RAW Women’s Championship was established st Wrestlemania 32 and replaces the now defunct Divas Championship. It does not share lineage with rhe Divas Championship or the original Women’s Championship, which was retired in 2010. There have been 14 reigns among 6 champions with no vacancies. Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks share the record for most reigns at four. Alexa Bliss is the longest reigning champion at 223 days and holds the record for most combined days as champion at 398. Ronda Rousey is the current champion.

During the Wrestlemania 32 Pre-Show, WWE Hall of Famer Lita announced that the term “Diva” and the Divas Championship were being removed from WWE and introduced a new Women’s Championship. That night, Charlotte Flair was sent to defend the Divas Championship against Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, but instead the match was used to determine the inaugural champion: Flair was the victor. Of the fourteen reigns so far, the first seven alternated between Flair and Banks until Bayley broke the cycle in February 2017 when she won the title from Flair. As a result of the 2017 Superstar Shakeup, Flair was traded to Smackdown and Alexa Bliss was traded to RAW. Since then, Bliss has dominated to RAW Women’s Championship, winning it three times in less than a year with only two other women winning it for the first time since her transfer (Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey).

Current Reign

Ronda Rousey defeated Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam to win the championship, and then subsequently defeated Bliss again at Hell in a Cell to retain the title. Her next title defense is set for Evolution against Nikki Bella.
