NXT Tag Team Championships

Despite there being a tag team division when FCW became NXT in 2012, tag tea team titles weren’t established until 2013. At this time, the Revival and the Undisputed Era are tied for most reigns as  champions with two reigns apiece. Furthermore, the Ascension holds the record for longest single reign and combined reign time at 344 days. Undisputed Era members Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong are the current champions.

History

In 2013, an eight-team tournament was held to determine the inaugural NXT Tag Team Champions, which was won by Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey. At NXT TakeOver: The End, the Revival defeated American Alpha to become the first-ever two-time NXT Tag Team Champions, a feat that only the Undisputed Era has replicated.

Current Reign

On the July 11 episode of NXT, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong defeated Moustache Moustache to win the championships. They defeated Moustache Mountain again at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 to retain the titles. Their next title defense will be on the October 17 edition of NXT against the War Raiders.
